Job Description Summary:

The VP, Regional Market Access is responsible for developing the market access & contracting strategy for the assigned area/region of the United States. This includes developing and maintaining relationships in Medical, Policy, Pharmacy, and Network provider departments within key accounts, developing innovative payment approaches for value services, and collaborating with local colleagues to pull thru access opportunities and overcome access barriers.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)

  • Develop the strategy for comprehensive, multi-year contracting to result in expanded coverage decisions and access to Option Care services from Key Accounts in the assigned area/region, including forward progress in value-based initiatives and clinical effectiveness with payers.

  • Evaluate, develop, and implement strategies for key partnerships with health plan subsidiaries and large employer groups.

  • Conduct strategic business reviews at least quarterly with Key Accounts, including the development of the priority objectives (strategy), gathering marketing materials & data to support the priority objectives, and aligning how OCH objectives support the account’s objectives

  • Works with Area counterparts in Operations and Sales to ensure payer pull-thru of opportunities, payer messaging for field teams, conduct market access education, and remove key barriers to access for the teams.

  • Work with the marketing team in the development of tools and collateral on payer messaging for various segments, as well as support in tools and resources for non-market access teams on access, including education.

  • Work with the Director of Contracting to maintain on-going account management of existing agreements and position Option Care as the leading choice for infusion services.

  • Coordinate internal resources (Clinical, Nursing, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Contracting, Finance, BD, etc.) to meet the needs of the plan for value-based care

  • Responsible for long term (1-3 years) and short term (up to 1 year) pricing, contracting, and account strategies along with the Director of Contracting and Contract Performance teams, developing strategic roadmaps and plans for all targeted accounts.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Five (5) or more years of experience within the managed care space

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong relationships with Key Health Plans within the area/region assigned

  • Proven ability to develop and execute on a strategy

  • Proven ability to develop relationships at higher levels within accounts

Travel Requirements: (if required)

  • Up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)

  • Master’s degree

Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below:

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Pay Range is $184,614.84-$307,691.40
